Mainly summer, but are available in smaller quantities year round

Origin

Native to North and South America. Common relatives include cosmos, dahlia and zinnia. Also a member of the aster family.

Flower Care

These have a vase life of 7 to 10 days. To get the best out of them remove any leaves that may sit in water, recut the stems and place in fresh water with flower food.

General Info

The name Solidago comes from the Latin solido which refers to the medicinal qualities and means to make whole or strengthen. Solidago is also referred to as Golden Rod, and is good for hay fever sufferers as its pollen is so heavy it is not carried easily by wind.
