Origin

Native to the Western Mediterranean. Common relatives include agapanthus, nerines and amaryllis. Paperwhites, Daffodils and Early cheer are all called Narcissus.

Flower Care

These have a vase life of 5 to 8 days. Recut the stems and put in fresh water. Cut stems exude a sap that can be toxic to other flowers so once cut pop them in a vase on their own for at least 6 ours before mixing them with other flowers.

General Info

Narcissus were said to be named after the Narcissus of greek mythology who was said to have killed himself after not being able to reach his own reflection in a pool.
