General Info

Gentians were named after an Illyrian King who discovered the medicinal value of their roots. They are best known for their intense deep blue and sky blue colours but also come in pinks and whites. They originally originated in Japan, but can now be found throughout the world most commonly in Alpine Meadows and woodlands.
