Native to South Africa.Common relatives of the crocus, gladiolus and iris.
Flower Care
These have a vase life of 4 to 12 days. Recut the stems under water and place into fresh water with flower food.
General Info
Freesias come in both single and double varieties, they were named after a german physician Dr Friedrich Freese who was also a student of south african plants back in the 1800′s. Freesias come in shades of whites, yellows, red, pinks, orange and purples.
