Native from Europe to Siberia. Common relatives include larkspur and anemone.
Flower Care
These have a vase life of 4 to 12 days. Remove bottom leaves, recut stems and rinse stems in water prior to placing in fresh water. Delphiniums like fresh water so change the water every few days.
General Info
Delphinium petals have been said to resemble bottle nose dolphins which is where its greek name comes from Delphis meaning dolphin. Delphiniums come in most commonly shades of blue, but also whites, pinks, apricots and some reds.
