Native to the mediterranean region. Common relatives include delphinium and the peony.
Flower Care
These have a vase life of 3 to 7 days, but with flower food can last up to 10 days. Remove any leaves below the water line, recut the stems and place in fresh water with flower food. Anemones drink a lot of water so keep your eye on the water level as you will need to top this up frequently.
General Info
The scientific name of anemones comes from Adonis, they were meant to have sprung from the tears of Aphrodite when Adonis died. Anemones come in single, semi double and double forms, and come in vibrant pinks, reds, violets, purples, blues and white.
