I don’t know about anyone else, but I need to have fresh flowers in the house every week. I know a lot of you will be sitting there saying how expensive that would be. But there are ways and means of doing this quite cheaply, and it is so nice to walk into your house and see fresh flowers.

There are always shops with 2 for $10 bunch deals, other times I just grab a simple bunch of flowers and put some greenery from my garden in with it. But one of the smartest things is to look at what is in season. Recently there have been a lot of Lisianthus around and I love them, but their season finishes in about a month so you have to be quick. The great thing is that Tulips are starting to come into production now, so these will be in my budget in a week or so. The other trick I use is buying a flower that is year round like roses, my all time favourite flower, or Gerbera’s.
